Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Daniel is responsible for leading and guiding the overall vision and goals of electroCore. Prior to joining the company, Daniel served as Executive Chairman of Repro Med Systems, Inc. (RMS), a publicly traded developer of home and specialty infusion products, and previously served as the company’s Chairman and interim Chief Executive Officer. He has over 35 years of leadership and medical device experience, including; Director and Chief Executive Officer of Xtant Medical Holdings, Inc. and Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sound Surgical Technologies. Earlier in his career, Daniel held various positions at Glucon, Inc., OSI Systems, Ohmeda, Nellcor and Hewlett Packard.
Daniel earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and attended the Stanford Directors College.
Peter S. Staats, MD, MBA
Chief Medical Officer
As electroCore's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Peter Staats is responsible for overseeing the ongoing clinical development of gammaCoreTM and works to advance the technology into new potential indications. Dr. Staats is a co-founder of electroCore and has previously served on the board of directors. He was the founder of the Division of Pain Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, where he was the director for 10 years. Dr. Staats is internationally recognized for his work in developing neuromodulation strategies and for implementing minimally invasive procedures for chronic pain.
Dr. Staats received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and completed his residency and fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a past President of the North American Neuromodulation Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, New Jersey Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Southern Pain Society. He is currently President of the World Institute of Pain and continues to serve as Chief Medical Officer for National Spine and Pain Centers, the largest integrated network of pain physicians in the United States.
Dr. Staats has written or co-edited 13 books and close to 500 articles, abstracts, monographs, and book chapters on pain medicine in publications that include the Journal of the American Medicine Association, Pain, Anesthesiology, Lancet Neurology and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. His work has been highlighted on Good Morning America, CBS Evening News, Newsweek, and CNN. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally. He has received numerous awards including both the physician of the year and the lifetime achievement awards from the New York, New Jersey, and West Virginia branches of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians; Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors, and New Jersey Top Doctor; and the lifetime achievement awards from the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience and the North American Neuromodulation society.
Bruce J. Simon, PhD
Vice President, Research

Bruce has broad expertise in research, having spent the last 16 years prior to joining electroCore as Senior Director of Research at the EBI division of Biomet, Inc, where he directed research on the effects of electric and electromagnetic fields on bone, cartilage, and soft tissue repair. He has more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and 50 issued or pending patents.
Bruce obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Iowa. After completing his PhD, he spent several years as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland and then as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas. His research focused on various aspects of electrophysiology, including excitation-contraction coupling in muscle and biophysical modeling.
Mitch DeShon
Vice President Global Sales & Business Development
Mitch has more than 20 years of experience in the Medical Device industry. He has served in Executive Sales & Business Development positions for companies such as Sound Surgical, ICN Pharmaceuticals, ESC/Lumenis, and Sherwood Medical. Prior to electroCore, Mitch served as a Vice President of Sales for Venus Concept, managing Australia/APAC.
Manny Marques
Senior Vice President, Operations
Mr. Marques has over 25 years of experience within the medical device industry. Prior to joining electroCore, Mr. Marques was the Chief Operating Officer at KORU Medical Systems, a leading developer and manufacturer of home specialty infusion medical devices and supplies. Manny transitioned into operations from engineering as Lean Manufacturing Champion at Nobel Biocare Procera LLC (Danaher company). Over the span of his career, Manny has been involved in manufacturing engineering, new product development, and Lean 6-Sigma manufacturing.
Mr. Marques holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology and M.S. in Engineering Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Mr. Marques holds two U.S. patents for cardiovascular medical devices.
Amanda Yanuklis
Chief of Staff
Amanda Yanuklis joined electroCore in 2017 and currently serves as our Chief of Staff. With a background as a seasoned management consultant, her expertise lies in strategic planning and implementation, merger search and integration, and organizational design. Amanda works closely with senior management in the areas of investor relations, internal planning, and development, where she excels at bringing order to complex situations.
Lisa Martin BSN, RN
Vice President, Customer Experience
Lisa is a Registered Nurse (RN) with over 20 years of experience in various specialties. Joining electroCore in 2016, Lisa embarked on a journey marked by dedication and a commitment to enhancing customer experiences. As a seasoned electroCore veteran, Lisa has played pivotal roles within the organization, starting with her tenure as a Clinical Education Specialist and progressing to Associate Director of Medical Affairs. In 2018, she further solidified her impact by assuming the first Director of Customer Experience role. Instrumental in establishing the Customer Experience team, she has since led a team of caring and efficient individuals, providing attentive support to customers at every stage of their journey—from initial interest and order processing to expert one-on-one training on product usage. Lisa finds deep fulfillment in connecting with people and is dedicated to ensuring that the voices of our customers echo throughout the organization.
Jerod Mills
Vice President, Information Technology
Jerod Mills is an accomplished leader in information technology with a rich history of driving transformative initiatives and elevating organizational efficiency. As the Vice President of Information Technology at electroCore, Inc., Jerod brings over 15 years of experience streamlining operations within the technical sector, working most recently in the healthcare vertical. Jerod also has extensive development experience in web, mobile, and bespoke applications, as well as management, configuration and setup of SaaS, PaaS, and iPaaS platforms.
Prior to joining electroCore, Jerod has served as a leader in technology across multiple sectors, including marketing, manufacturing, and entertainment, including his most recent role as Director of Architecture at TeamHealth, where he led a team of solutions architects to develop HIPAA-compliant solutions across a variety of bespoke applications, SaaS applications, and AWS.
Jerod holds a Bachelor of Science from Carson-Newman University, where he double majored in mathematics and computer science and minored in physics.

Mike has 15 years of experience in the medical device industry and has held executive marketing and business development positions. Before electroCore, Michael was the Vice President of Business Development for Xtant Medical.
Steve Smith
Vice President, Quality, Regulatory & Compliance
Steve is a Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs executive with over 30 years in the medical device and tissue banking industries. Steve has extensive experience developing, implementing, and managing FDA and ISO-compliant quality systems to ensure product quality and maintain regulatory compliance. Steve is well-versed in all aspects of medical device quality systems. He has led the successful development and deployment of quality management systems established to meet FDA and international regulatory requirements for several organizations. Prior to joining electroCore, Steve served as the Vice President of RAQA for Xtant Medical Inc., and Sound Surgical Technologies, where he was responsible for company-wide quality system, regulatory compliance, and product quality.
Mike Romaniw
Executive Vice President, Systems & Operations
"What motivates me? After 40+ years in the medical device industry, I love the idea of being involved with the development of products that are not ‘me too’ or copycat products. The idea of providing a unique therapy, without many of the side effects associated with pharmaceutical products, for as many indications as we have identified and continue to develop makes for an exciting place to be. I still get goose bumps thinking about what we do and the benefits it provides to the end user."
Mike is a Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance executive with over 40 years of experience in the medical device industry, including manufacturing, design and development, and quality management. Mike has led the successful development and deployment of quality management systems established to meet FDA, as well as international, regulatory requirements for several organizations. Prior to joining electroCore, Mike served as the Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance at Blackstone Medical, Inc, where he was responsible for product quality control, quality engineering, supplier management, and product complaint handling, as well as the management of field actions and recalls.
Joshua Lev
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lev has served as Chief Strategy Officer since January 2022 and took on the role of CFO in October 2024. He joined electroCore in February 2020 as the VP of Business Development, Strategy and Financial Planning. Mr. Lev has over 15 years experience in the financial services industry including 10+ years spent as an investment banker and investor focusing on emerging growth companies. Joshua joined Wellfleet Partners, Inc., as the Director of Business Development in mid-2011 to focus on capital raises, M&A, strategic transactions and institutional client relations. Later in his career, he helped co-found Aracle Capital, LLC., an investment firm with a focus on early-stage and emerging-growth companies. Over the span of his career, Mr. Lev has been involved in the financial and strategic planning of companies across multiple sizes and industries.
Mr. Lev holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School where he graduated with a concentration in finance and as a member of both the Dean’s List and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Management from the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University, as well as an Associate Degree in Religious Studies.
Jackie Dorsky
Vice President, Marketing
As VP of Marketing, Jackie leads the development and execution of the company’s strategy across commercial and VA channels and oversees provider and patient marketing for the gammaCore portfolio.
Prior to electroCore, Jackie held multiple positions with top health systems to drive execution of critical patient and provider-focused initiatives. At NYU Langone Health, Jackie worked across the system’s hospitals to optimize patient satisfaction performance. At Montefiore Medical Center, Jackie oversaw implementation of NIH funded grants to improve patient outcomes in chronic diseases. Jackie has also held various roles in scientific research labs, contributing to multiple peer-reviewed publications.
Jackie earned her BS in Human Biology from Brown University, where she was elected to Sigma Xi, and her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
Carrie Kochek
Senior Director, Human Resources
Carrie is a Senior Human Resources leader recognized for developing and delivering strategic Human Resources business solutions. She has a track record of establishing excellent relationships at all organization levels, identifying & developing talent and delivering business impacting results. With over 20 years of Human Resources experience, she prides herself on being a solution seeker rather than a policy pusher. Prior to joining electroCore, Carrie served as Director - Human Resources at Verizon and specialized in HR Operations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations.
Carrie holds a BA in Psychology from Ithaca College and is a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Management.
Thomas J. Errico, MD
Founder and Principal Investor, Chair, Nominating and Governance Committee
Dr. Errico has been a board-certified orthopedic surgeon since 1986, and currently serves as a pediatric orthopedic spine surgeon at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He served as the Chief, Division of Spine Surgery in Orthopedics, NYU Langone Health from 1997 until 2019. He is also currently Adjunct Professor, Department of Orthopedic Surgery in the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. His undergraduate degree was completed at Rutgers University. He then went on to graduate and complete an internship from what was then known as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After completing a residency in Orthopedics at NYU School of Medicine, he completed a yearlong fellowship in spinal surgery at the University of Toronto under the direction of Dr. John Kostuik. Among others, Dr. Errico helped found K2M Group Holdings, Inc, which is now a public-traded company selling spinal implants. Dr. Errico has served as President of both the North American Spine Society (NASS) and the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS).
Along with JP Errico, Dr. Errico founded several medical device companies. According to the Medicine Lodge 2001 Spinal Implant Intellectual Property Report, he is the most prolific inventor in the field of spinal implants. According to Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review, Dr. Errico has been listed as one of 8 spinal surgeons to know in the field of scoliosis. He was also listed as one of the 10 best orthopedic surgeons in the US Health Articles 101. Dr. Errico also served on the Board of Directors of SpineCore, a company he co-founded, from inception to sale.

Peter is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and the Department of Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He was the founder of the Division of Pain Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, where he was the director for 10 years.
Peter is internationally recognized for his work in developing and implementing minimally invasive procedures for chronic pain. Peter received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and completed his residency and fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. David Rubin, PhD
David is a Managing Director in Merck’s Global Health Innovation Fund, with a primary focus on precision medicine. David has invested in molecular diagnostics, point-of-care diagnostics, imaging, and therapeutic device companies that address unmet needs in oncology, infectious disease, neurology, and cardiovascular disease. David holds board seats at OpGen, electroCore, and Navigating Cancer, and he is a board observer at Asuragen and GenomeDx. David joined Merck in 2007 as Director of Franchise and Portfolio Management. His primary responsibilities were to oversee the operational support of all Merck Research Laboratories (MRL) disease-area franchises and provide portfolio management support to MRL Oncology, including the development of franchise strategies, scenario planning, and portfolio valuation. David joined Merck from Cognia Corporation, where he was CEO and President, and helped to build it into a pioneer bioinformatics products company.
David holds a PhD from Temple University in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from SUNY Binghamton. He was a National Institutes of Health and American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School, where he worked on the Ubiquitin Proteasome Pathway. He also received training in post-graduate business at Harvard University.
Stephen L. Ondra, MD
Dr. Ondra is Chief Executive Officer of North Star Healthcare Consulting, a healthcare technology consulting company that he founded in 2017. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Ondra served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Health Care Service Corporation, the largest customer-owned health insurance company in the United States. Previously, Dr. Ondra served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
In 2009, Dr. Ondra was appointed by President Obama as Senior Policy Advisor for Health Affairs of the US Department of Veterans Affairs, assigned to the Executive Office of the President of the United States from 2010 to 2012. At the White House he held several positions, including Co-Chair of the National Science and Technology Council for Health Information Technology.
A board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Ondra was a Professor of Neurosurgery and Residency Program Director at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine from 1996 to 2009. Dr. Ondra graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago with a Doctor of Medicine, completing residency training in neurosurgery at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. As a US Army physician, Dr. Ondra served with distinction in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and was awarded Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medals.
Michael G. Atieh
After starting his career with Ernst and Young where he became an Audit Manager, Mike spent the majority of his career in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to his retirement in 2016, Mike was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Business Officer at Ophthotech, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPHT), a public biotechnology company. His previous experience included roles as Executive Chairman of Eyetech Inc., a private specialty pharmaceutical company; Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of OSI Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: OSIP), a public biotechnology company; and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dendrite International, Inc. (Nasdaq: DRTE), a pharmaceutical services company. In the 1990s, Mike held various senior corporate positions, including Treasurer at Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MRK) and Vice President of US Human Health, a division of Merck.
Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of Chubb Limited (NYSE: CB) where he is a member of the Risk and Finance Committee and previously served as the Chair of the Audit Committee from 2012 until May 2018. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Oyster Point Pharma (NASDAQ: OYST) where he is chairman of the Audit Committee. His previous public company board experience was with Theravance Biopharma (Nasdaq:TBPH) and OSI Pharmaceuticals, where he also served as Chair of the Audit Committee. Mike graduated from Upsala College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance.
Peter Cuneo
Chairman
Mr. Peter Cuneo brings significant executive leadership to electroCore’s Board. He currently serves as a Managing Principal of Cuneo & Company LLC, a private investment and management company that he founded. Mr. Cuneo’s past experience includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of Marvel Entertainment until its sale to Disney in 2009. Prior to that, he successfully led three turnarounds, first as President of Clairol's Personal Care Division, as President of Black and Decker’s Security Hardware Group, and as Chief Executive Officer of Remington Products. Mr. Cuneo’s Board experience includes serving as Chairman of the Board of Valiant Entertainment following Cuneo & Co's investment in the company. He currently serves as Chairman of Iconix Brands and Chairman of BeyondView LLC, and previously served as Vice Chairman of Marvel. He currently serves as Chairman emeritus of the Alfred University Board of Trustees and on the Board of the National Archives Foundation in Washington, D.C. Peter holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Thomas Patton
Chair, Audit Committee
Mr. Thomas M. Patton is a seasoned healthcare executive and board member with operational, strategic, financial, legal, compliance and transactional experience, from start-ups to growth companies, both public and private. He last served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CAS Medical Systems (CASM), a publicly traded developer and distributor of patient monitoring equipment, from 2010 until its sale to Edwards Lifesciences in 2019. His prior experience includes as Co-Founder, President and CEO of QDX, Inc., a developer of unique micro-fluidic diagnostic technology utilizing digital imaging techniques for hematologic analysis (sold to Abbott Laboratories), as President and Chief Operating Officer of Novametrix Medical Systems, Inc. (NMTX) (sold to Respironics), and CEO of Wright Medical Technology, Inc. Mr. Patton has served on eleven separate Boards of Directors for both public and private medical products and services companies, and currently serves on the Board of Misonix, Inc. (MSON), an ultrasonic surgical tools and wound care company.
John Gandolfo
Chair, Compensation Committee
Mr. John Gandolfo brings to the electroCore Board more than 30 years of financial leadership at both public and private companies across multiple industry sectors. His specific expertise includes the implementation of accounting and internal control systems, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, Wall Street analyst relationship building, expense control and cash flow optimization. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Eyenovia, Inc. (EYEN), a publicly held, late clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focusing on the development of ophthalmic drugs. Prior to Eyenovia, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Xtant Medical Holdings, Inc. (XTNT), a publicly held orthopedic and spine medical device company with multiple operations throughout the United States. Prior healthcare experience includes Chief Financial Officer positions at Progenitor Cell Therapy LLC, Power Medical Interventions (PMII) and Bioject, Inc. (BJCT), among others. Mr. Gandolfo’s experience also includes serving on the Audit Committees of the Boards of multiple medical technology companies.
Julie Bruzzone-Goldstein
Julie Bruzzone-Goldstein, brings to the Board more than 30 years of marketing and branding experience. Her background includes working for media and entertainment companies including radio, record labels and TV networks. She started her career in radio where she worked closely with advertising agencies and major record labels in which she was directly responsible for establishing careers of many top recording artists. From 2004 to 2006 her success in radio developing artists led her to serve as Vice President of Marketing and Artist Development for Jive Records which is a Sony company and Vice President of Marketing and Artist Development for RCA Records, which is also owned by Sony Music. At both Jive and RCA, she orchestrated and integrated major marketing campaigns for domestic and international releases and played a key role in artist development from 1996 to 2002. In addition to her recording industry experience, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Media Sales for TV Guide Television Network which is owned by NewsCorp. At TV Guide she was responsible for developing media campaigns and sale opportunities for the network and advertisers. To round out her entertainment experience she also has produced Broadway productions. Throughout her career she has been acknowledged for her innovative approach to direct to consumer marketing and was honored by Billboard Magazine with the Top Marketing Professional Award.
Patricia Derrico Wilber
Patricia Derrico Wilber, is a seasoned marketing and business executive with strategic branding, consumer trend and digital marketing expertise at The Walt Disney Company for 19 years. From 2015 to 2018, she served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director of Partnerships for Walt Disney Company, Europe, Middle East and Africa. As a leader of the EMEA Leadership Team, she helped set Disney’s strategic direction and drove growth for the company’s marquee brands by leading marketing and communications. She also previously served as a director of Euro Disney SCA, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company and the Magical Cruise Company, a provider of cruise line services, from 1999 until 2010.
Charles S. Theofilos, M.D.
Founder and Principal Investor
Dr. Theofilos is a retired neurosurgeon who founded The Spine Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL in 1996. He also founded and serves as President of Theo Concepts, LLC and Founder of The Theo Group, a family office. Previously, he served as Co-Director of the Neuroscience Center, Chairman of Neurosurgery, and Chairman of Cranial and Spinal Surgery, at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida, Director of Spine Surgery at Jupiter Medical Center, and Chairman of Neurosurgery at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Dr. Theofilos has been a founder, director and/or investor in a number of early-stage medical device and healthcare companies, including K2Medical, SpineCore LLC and electroCore, LLC, a predecessor of the Company. Dr. Theofilos received an M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine, a B.A. in biology from Emory University, and a GMP (General Management Program) from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
